This is my ceramic work called "Katakuchi" made in Japan 2003. I used to join a ceramic group and made ceramics. This is the only one work is surviving in Chicago.

**********************************************************

"Katakuchi" is Kata - one side, Kuchi - mouth. As looks, there is one mouth on this bowl. This is one of the modern table wares in Japan recently. There are a lot of kinds called Katakuchi, bottles, bowls, plates ... If you are interested in them, you can find varieties on this web ( do not try to understand what they mention)

Yoshimi,
you already know about my love for ceramics. Thanks for sharing your work here. What does Katakuchi refer to? The style of ceramics or did you just name your piece that?

Hi Yoshime,
Nice artwork! Where did you learn how to work with ceramics? It is your first artwork? Can you please explain how to share my blog?
